Holding on.

November 20, 2015

Jacket | H&M
Dress | Topshop
Shoes | Primark

Bet my cat wishes he hadn't walked over to me when I was taking these photos, hahaha. Anyway, I wanted this dress for sooo long, since whenever it was in the shops which was quite a long time ago now. So when I spotted it on eBay for a fraction of the price I was pretty happy. You know those days when you know you'll be eating lots of food or just don't feel like wearing tight-fitting clothing? Yeah this is the perfect dress for that. I love the contrast of the two patterns.

Oh and I'm also so happy I finally have a new pair of brown brogues in my life! I don't know if any of you were obsessed with the ones Primark had out years ago (I'm talking maybe 2008) but I went through so many pairs of them and wore them all to death. For some reason I've hated the ones they've brought out in recent years but these are pretty close to the original ones, yay.

Hope everyone's well and has a great weekend,

Claire xx

Happy Halloween!

October 31, 2015

Went for a Starbucks with my love (and yes it's a pumpkin spice latte, mmm).

Then we went round to my friends' for a Halloween evening since they'll be away on holiday at the time (forgot to say these photos are from last week, woops). There was a loooot of junk food present, I was definitely suffering from sugar overload haha. We decided to carve pumpkins, something I'd never done before (lol just wait...)

So I did end up slicing through mine at stupid places by accident (there were quite a few mutterings of 'shit' from everyone haha), but it was fun and I think they all looked cool together! Afterwards we ate some more food and watched a movie called American Mary which I'd had on my Netflix for a while. At first it seemed quite tame but wasn't. Decent & gory though!

Oh yeah....then I got pregnant with a pumpkin, the end.

I hope you're all having a lovely Halloween weekend so far whatever you're up to. I'm not going out for it this year so tonight will involve more horror movies and lots of tea :)

But mostly pizza.

October 23, 2015

Cardigan | Vintage
T-shirt & skirt | H&M
Shoes | Converse

Mmm pizza. Just gonna go straight in and ask what your favourite topping is? Mines is either pineapple (oh sweet lord) or sweetcorn.

Anyway, this is a pretty casual outfit but I like the pop of colour the cardigan & lipstick give. This is probably my favourite autumn/winter piece of knitwear, I just love the shade. Though I did just make a little trip to H&M last week and picked up a couple of perfect new jumpers.

On Wednesday night I went to see The Lobster at the cinema and I highly recommend this dark & quirky story of love. I was so engrossed in the movie that I was shocked when it ended haha. Tonight I'm going round to my friends' house to have a Halloween movie night, I believe Psycho and Rocky Horror are definitely on the list!

What are your weekend plans?

Lust list 015 | ASOS.

October 21, 2015

Since I'm always checking out the ASOS website and adding things to my 'save later' page, I thought I'd put together a little wish list.

I honestly couldn't need these pyjamas more. I'm the grumpiest ever if I need to be woken up early haha. Plus the monochrome look should also continue into the bedroom. Having said that, oh look some colourful underwear. I think this red bra is so pretty, I love the crossover detail. They do have it in black too though (I tried to resist adding that one into my favourites).  The Olivia Burton watch is definitely a 'never gonna get it' item but it's just so sweet. I expected her watches to be real leather due to the price tag but ASOS lists it as faux leather - hoping that's true anyway. It's embarrassing just how many watches I have in my favourites at the moment haha. I'm not 100% inclined towards this exact faux leather brown backpack, but I do really want one like it and it's a pretty decent price for something that will be worn time and time again. Lastly, cute black shiny shoes. I can imagine these looking sweet with any little dress and they have that school shoe vibe, ahh nostalgia.

What do you think of these items?

October 19, 2015
Hi lovelies :) I've been feeling quite run down lately and just haven't had the energy to sort out blog posts. I'm hoping to find out what's up with me pretty soon, but if you want to keep up with what I've been doing just give me a follow on instagram @xjad0re !

Have been enjoying my new Ikea sheets, and decided to give my deer cushion some time on the bed. Sorry owl, you've been demoted to the couch for now. I picked up The Luminaries in a local charity shop for £2, have heard good things about it and needed a new book to start on.

Got some cute homeware items from Asda. I didn't have any measuring cups and these ones are perfect.

Recently started receiving Graze boxes again, I love their fresh slices of cake, they're so light and yummy!

Lastly, I discovered this sweet little band and have fallen in love with them. Every song is oh so good.

I hope you all had a nice weekend,

Claire xx

New Tommy's.

October 05, 2015

Dress, scarf, boots, bag & necklace | Primark
Glasses | Tommy Hilfiger @ Specsavers

I'm sorry I haven't posted in almost 2 weeks, it really wasn't my intention this time, I'm so in the blogging zone lately! I've just had a lot of things happening at once including my rat getting surgery and doing some night shifts i.e. becoming a zombie.

Anyway, I don't normally buy dresses or skirts in this sort of midi length (mostly cause I'm quite short) but I was really drawn to this one. I also bought it in grey haha, but I'm still undecided if I want to keep both. This one is my favourite anyway, perfect colour for autumn. And seriously guys...this scarf...oh my, get it in your life. It's the softest, most warm thing ever!

This post also features the debut of one of my new pairs of glasses. Most of the time I do wear contacts, but I finally upgraded the crappy pair I've had since I was about 15 and I love both the pairs I got (2 for 1, yassss).

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend.

Current shower products.

September 23, 2015

Shower products are kind of the same for beauty products with me, I tend to stick to (or go back to) the same ones for quite a while if I love them. I'm also quite OCD about my routine, everything is always done in the same order haha.

The Aussie Mega shampoo was one I read about a few months ago, and even though it does contain sulfates, I liked that it would cause no build up. Plus Aussie products always smell amazing. The raspberry & macadamia conditioner from Superdrug is one I've went back to (although back in the day it was more the shampoo I used). It smells sooo good! red kola. You do need to use quite a bit of product each time but it still lasts ages and only costs between £1-£2. The Naked Rescue conditioner is another one I love to use, it's definitely richer than the Superdrug one and again...smells yummy.

I always seem to end up loving Soap & Glory face products the most for when I wash my face in the shower. I did also really enjoy their Peaches & Clean one but I've returned to this bottle of minty freshness.

I usually use just the Simple shower cream unless I'm obsessing over any Lush shower gels which I'm sure will happen again soon. Then I either like to use Soap & Glory's Flake Away or the Breakfast Scrub. I don't know why I forgot to photograph that one actually as it's what I use the most - mmm it smells like maple syrup! My favourite shave gel is this cheap and cheerful fruity one from Boots.

After my shower I am for sure obsessed with this pistachio sundae body butter from Nip + Fab, oh my god the scent is incredible. I've went through so many little pots of the stuff. My current moisturiser is the For Daily Youth one from Soap & Glory (shocker, I know).

What's currently in your shower routine?

Black on black on polkadots.

Top | New Look
Skirt | H&M
Shoes & hair bow | Primark
Lipstick | Rimmel Apocolips in Big Bang

I wasn't aiming for some sort of gothic Minnie Mouse with this outfit but hey there you go (I know it's mostly just cause of the bow, shhh...).  I love this little pleather skirt so much, it's the perfect skater shape.

I feel like I don't have anything exciting to say but then again when do I haha. The other night I went to see the movie Legend and it was so amazing. I knew I was going to love it as it stars two of my favourites - Tom Hardy and Emily Browning - but the whole 60s gangster vibe was just perfect. Next on my to see list is Me, Earl and the Dying Girl.

Have you seen anything decent at the cinema lately?

New in | Ikea.

September 06, 2015

I visited Ikea about a week ago (biggest drive I've done so far as well and I didn't get lost, yass). I mostly went to get a new bedding set and managed to spot the sweet one above. I'm hoping that once it's on my bed it doesn't look too "grannyish" haha. Also on my mind were the cute milkshake-style cups as when we were in Spain all the little cafes used them there and I couldn't wait to drink some smoothies out of them.

I also got lots of unscented tea lights as I can't use scented ones due to my rats and one of the apple slicers, finally! The few glass pieces of kitchen ware aren't exactly things I needed but I just love the style of things like that. Especially the big glass tea cup. As for the black bowl,'s black and we all know I love that haha.

What do you think of the things I picked up? Do you have anything on your Ikea wish list at the moment?

White details.

September 03, 2015

Top | Urban Oufitters
Jeans | H&M
Bag | Primark
Shoes | Converse

Sooo...I got bored of my hair half way through these photos and changed it - I promise they were taken at the same time haha! I featured this pretty little top in my last post, it's just the daintiest thing. Though I do have to wear a vest underneath as it's very see-through.

All in all I know this probably isn't the most interesting outfit to look at but I just love how simplistic white and black are together. I did add some red lips for a bit of variety! :)

Oh if you look closely you can see where one of my rats (Dexter I'm looking at you) chewed a hole in the front of my bag, little sh*t haha.
