Hi guys, happy easter! Hope you're all enjoying some lovely chocolate comas. I always find easter egg chocolate more satisfying to eat than normal bars, just love breaking them up.

This is an outfit I wore on Friday to go out for a family meal. We received a 50% off voucher for an Italian restaurant so just couldn't say no. I don't know why I haven't put this outfit together before, I love that it has a slightly Parisian feel to it (that'll just be the stripes, Claire). The top is off the shoulder style, though it's a cheeky thing and slips up a lot. I don't mind, it looks cool both ways. I've been drawn to more simplistic pieces of clothing lately, so have said goodbye to many floral or crazy pattern pieces from my wardrobe. Though I don't know how long that'll last as I plan to visit the new Forever 21 through in Glasgow this week...

P.S. Sorry about the cat hairs on my skirt, he attacked me with cuddles midway through taking these photos.

Soap & glory clean on me and hand food.

March 27, 2013

I thought I'd quickly talk about a couple of my favourite products from Soap & Glory (not that there's many things from them I don't like). I'm absolutely obsessed with the scent, for some reason it really reminds me of holidays/hotels and I'm not sure why, just how my brain works. It's their 'Original Pink' scent (with orange leaf, lemon, peach, sweet strawberries, summer rose, gardenia blooms and jasmine), which is sweet yet delicate.

Clean On Me lathers up really well, I love to use it with a shower puff. I only have the mini size but it's lasting me for ages even though I've used it lots. I like to alternate between this and Snow Fairy. Also, if you use their Righteous Butter afterwards you can keep the scent going even longer. Hand Food has been my saviour ever since I got it. It also contains shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow. The never-ending winter means my hands can be a little drier than normal, and this makes them feel all lovely again.

What are your favourite products from Soap & Glory at the moment?

This is me the majority of the time I'm at home, snuggled with my big bundle of fluff. I've been really addicted to the new light versions of Tropicana, this one is pomegranate & blueberry. Also got back into my love for bagels.

I had a dentist appointment really early in the morning, but luckily for me that means going out for breakfast after. My boyfriend and I spent the whole day driving in the sun and I found this Topshop dinosaur jumper in a charity shop.

The batch of apple & cinnamon muffins I baked, followed by a game of scrabble in the evening. Was so creepy that the first letters I picked out managed to spell my boyfriends name - genuinely!

This is my favourite snack to eat any time of the day, thankful when I have leftover eggs from baking. I took a little trip into town for some new makeup items and ended up in River Island.

Have actually been really healthy lately and been at the gym lots, though it doesn't help that there's a Starbucks and a Costa in the building. Put my sisters cute cake cases to use for some chocolate cupcakes, can't wait to bake them again soon.

Decided to finally tackle the mess under my bed. After lots of dust and spiders, I rediscovered a box of old videos. Thought my mum had thrown this one out, love the story. I met up with my friend during the week for some frozen yoghurt which was the best combination I've tried so far. Those little mango juice balls are so so good!

I got to meet my friend's new kitten, Hachi (don't ever watch the movie if you haven't already, tears everywhere). I'm hoping to welcome a couple of new pets into my home soon. Once I'm confident I've found the perfect breeder, I'm going to get two adorable rats :) Lastly, there's nothing like fresh bedsheets!

Hold on when you get love & let go when you give it.

This is probably the brightest top I own (it's far more neon in person). I wasn't sure about it at first but now I really love the shade. The stud detailing on the collar is quite dainty and cute as well. I picked up this cat print skirt recently whilst in town, I just couldn't leave the shop without it. I feel like if it had been another print I might have walked away, but cats....gimme.

Hope you're all having a lovely start to the week!

Cat face cropped tee Miss Selfridge // Cat print cosmetic pouch Forever 21 // Lip crayon in Secret Party Topshop // Stila smudge pot in Kitten Beauty Bay // Frilly purple cushion cover H&M // Nude diamante bowler bag Miss Selfridge

Having a couple of cat themed things on my wish list should come as no surprise to you. The t-shirt from Miss Selfridge is so sweet and as it's cropped in style I think it would look great with disco pants. I'm in need of a new makeup bag as mine is so grubby and falling apart, and this cat print one is just too adorable.

I haven't really been lusting after any particular makeup items in a while, but I'd quite like another Topshop lip crayon in my collection as they're lovely to use. I've heard a lot about this Stila smudge pot and after seeing a fair few Youtube videos featuring it, I just know I need this prettiness.

I've been featuring H&M cushion covers on my wish lists for so long but have yet to actually buy one. The gorgeous purple shade of this one just might push me to make a purchase, I can imagine it looking so nice with my white floral Ikea sheets. Lastly, I'm loving this little nude coloured bowler bag. It's a cute size and the perfect shade for spring. Plus I can't say that the magpie in me isn't completely drawn to those studs and diamantes.

March glossybox 2013.

March 12, 2013

I've been receiving Glossyboxes for quite a number of months now, and while I'm not always blown away by the contents, there have been some gems along the way. This months box (City Chic) is pretty good in my opinion and from other reviews I've seen, the products received are mostly the same.

Nails Inc St James nail polish: I actually don't own a red like this so I'm pleased with the shade, it leans pink with a very slight shimmer through it.

Elizabeth Arden fragrance free Eight Hour Cream: This is a product I've always wanted to try and I already love it. It's made my lips feel so soft and a little bit goes a long way. Not quite sure about the fragrance free aspect though, I can still smell something and it's quite unique.

Jelly Pong Pong lip blush in Marshmallow Pink: This shade is described as a soft petal pink, and adds a really nice stain to the lips. It's moisturising and the brand are cruelty free. Also it doesn't have that terrible menthol scent that the Revlon lip stains have (still love you Revlon).

Juicy Couture Couture La La: Like most people, I'm not that impressed by little perfume samples being included. This isn't really my kind of scent, I'm fussy when it comes to floral ones. I will say I love Juicy Couture's tacky perfume bottles though.

Tresemme salon finish extra hold hairspray: Okay, not the most exciting but it's a cute size and the hairspray I have at the moment is pretty crap so I'm looking forward to trying it.

Hope you all enjoyed this post even if you don't currently subscribe. Maybe it's given you ideas of products you'd like to try out :)

Essie Mint Candy Apple // Boots £7.99

I know I'm a little bit behind but I recently bought this beautiful shade and have to say I understand the hype! I have a Barry M turquoise shade but it's a little deeper than this, I already prefer the Essie one. It applies really smoothly and I only needed to do two coats.

The accent nail is Model's Own Champagne, another new addition to my nail polish family. Also thought I'd mention that I've been using the Nails Inc Kensington caviar top coat ever since I received a mini in a Glossybox months ago. It really is the perfect thing for getting your nails dry quickly, don't think I could be without it now.

Teach me how to love you like I wrote.

March 09, 2013

Made my favourite apple cinnamon muffins - recipe here. These are so perfect straight out the oven, and always disappear so quickly in my house.

Went out on my bike for the first time in a while. Healthy yes, but what you can't see is our bag of little treats including crisps and toffees, oops.

Surrounded by my little poser constantly.

Made some nutella mug cake for the first time (was feeling lazy and in need of sugar). Beware heart attacks, recipe here.

Remember to check under your bed.

Hi lovelies, I hope you're all having a nice start to the week. Can't believe it's actually been 7 days since I last posted, time has been flying. I wore this outfit the other night to go see Mama at the cinema. I'm a fan of Guillermo del Toro's movies so it was an enjoyable and creepy watch.

It's been so lovely here lately with the sun coming out. The other day I got up really early (which is 10am for me haha) and went out for breakfast with my boyfriend, followed by a drive and browse round some charity shops. One of the nicest days I've had in a while, and I picked up a couple of pretty bargains. Other than that I've been spending quite a bit of time baking and think I've finally found my perfect chocolate cupcake recipe. Oh and also, I've started going to the gym again, it feels good :)
